I’m 22. I live in Ma and I’m currently living with my mother. I work full time and I make $15 per hour.

Monthly I spend - $60 phone bill, $126 car insurance, $400 house bills. I also spend a lot of money on food and other stupid stuff.

I currently drive a 2008 Nissan Sentra and for the last year or so It’s been giving me problems, if it’s not one thing then it’s another. Last year I wanna say I spent over $1200 to fix the issues it had. Recently it’s been making some noises and I brought it to a garage and the guy identified the issue and said it was one of the wheel bearings and said that it would cost over $500 to fix it.

Currently I have 11 thousand saved up and my credit score is at 702. I’ve been trying to decide on how I want to handle this car situation. If I should just suck it up or get something a newer vehicle. I’ve been looking at a 2014 Toyota Corolla but all of them are near 8k or more. I’ve debated on if I should put down a payment of like 3 thousand but I truly don’t know.

Here are some other things I’ve been thinking about in regards of my finance. - I currently owe 6 thousand in student loans and I don’t have a degree yet or really know if I want to go back to school. - My father is migrating to the US within a next year or so and I’m one of his only family members here and I will have to support him financially in some way. - I want to save up to move into a apartment with my girlfriend in a few years or so.

I apologize if this is all over the place. I haven’t spoken to anyone about this so I just need some feedback/criticism, anything will do, thank you for reading.
