So a few years ago I inherited $10,000 due to my grandmothers passing. It's just been sitting in the bank since I received it. What the heck do I do with it? I'm getting ready to graduate college and will have about $13k in student loan debt. I have no car payments nor do I need a new car, no credit card debt, no mortgage that I could put it towards, etc.. I just have the $13k.
Do I invest this money into something? Do I just pay off some of the debt or pay off the debt over the next couple years? (my interest rates are very low, so I'm not too worried about that) Do I put it towards my first home? Travel a bit? I feel guilty spending it on anything because it was the last gift my grandmother had ever given me, so I want to make sure it's used wisely.
What would you do with $10K as you were just getting ready to start your life?
