Cigna is charging the following due to the tests not being "medically necessary".

$130 for STD testing

$230 for Vitamin D testing

Both were tests suggested by my doctor during my annual physical. Is it worth appealing?

In case it matters, they did find I was deficient in Vitamin D. And my doctor suggested the STD test because I'm a gay man in a relationship.

Edit: I went on cigna's website to access the EOB and it says while the two tests were not covered, I'm not liable for the charges. So if I owe nothing, why is Cigna sending bills for $360?
