I was recently in a conversation with my friends about this and they looked at me weird when I told them I send them money every month. So I was wondering if there are other people who send money to your parents on a regular basis? I'm currently 27, living pretty comfortably away from home, with my fiance. Ever since my sisters and I graduated and started working full time, we've been giving my parents $1000/mth each(They never requested this specific amount, it was just something we all paid). All of our student loans were paid off by our parents and they've never once asked us to move out(in fact they wanted us to stay at home) so they were definitely helpful.
They've always treated us very well growing up and all of us are doing pretty well for ourselves so I don't mind sending them money to cover their expenses. However, $1000/mth isn't exactly chump change to me either. Perhaps it is because I'm of Asian descent but I was wondering if anyone else does this.
