We all know what a scam the entire textbook industry is. A reminder for students to familiarize yourself with your school library and city library!! Between the two of them, you can almost always find your textbooks online or at a branch of your library.
If you're not finding what you're looking for, ask for help from your library. Most libraries have topic experts who specialize in various industries/programs/faculties. They can point you to the right direction of what catalogues can have the books you're looking for.
My program is insanely weird and very new and specialized and the books are extremely specific, and still in 5+ years in my program I have yet to spend money on textbooks as I've always been able to locate them for free from the library.
