Doesn't hurt to ask right? In this instance, I was buying something for my son's aquarium at a pet store.
My original question to the cashier was if they price match. He said they did, but not with competitors like amazon. Then I pointed out that the item I was buying was "10% off online only" on their website and if they could make an exception. The cashier was already adjusting the price in the register before I was done asking...they had no problem doing it.
