My smoke alarms are FirstAlert, hard wired into the house. They have a green light that is always on. The light attract small flying bugs, which set off the smoke alarms. These bugs are small, they fit through screens. The bugs get in the sensor, and the alarms go off. My fix has been to take the smoke alarm down, pry off the back, and blow out the bugs with compressed air in a can. Today I pulled the green LED bulb out with pliers, and the smoke alarm still detects smoke. Is this a good solution? via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2ztO7gS
