I am going to start building my 12'x16' shed/workshop in about a week and am trying to iron out the details. I am in western Pennsylvania, not constantly heating and cooling the building but might run fan/ac and/or small heater to keep it comfy when I am out there. I am doing 2x6 joists on raised skids, 2x4 walls and 2x6 rafters with metal roof panels. I plan on insulating the floor with rigid foam panels between joists and fiberglass or rockwool in the walls. I am still stuck on what to do for the roof and I have read way to many ideas to keep it straight... So I am looking for more ideas from you guys. I've seen some say to leave an air gap between the metal panels and the plywood sheathing and insulate between joists, and I've seen metal against ply and air gap between ply and insulation, some say you need a radiant barrier like reflectix or just foil backed rigid foam and it needs to be against this and foil up or against that and foil down, etc etc. Does anyone have any experience with this sort of situation that can offer some guidance/input? via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/3hD9lee
