My wife has severe allergies and sometimes has a sneezing fit where she sneezes in threes. While driving to pick up our daughter she had a sneezing fit and bumped into the car in front of her. She immediately ran to the driver to check if she was ok. Both inspected the cars and noted no damage and that no one was hurt. They took pictures of each other's license, exchanged numbers and left. The other driver now claims her husband found that the side panel was askew and wants to have a mechanic look at it. How do we protect ourselves from outrageous claims? We've never been in a car accident and don't know the best practice in these situations.
