Hello, i am a 19 year old college student and my ex is a 20 year old unemployed burden. Let me start that, before her and I were a thing, i had absolutely no debt, now i have at least $10,000 in debt. i'll go each bill by bill and summarize it.
Car loan: Loan through my credit union account, i was the consigner and she has terrible credit and i have great credit at the time. $184/month $8,000 still left on loan.
Car insurance: I believe is in her name, i removed my name as a driver but i don't know for sure if it involves me anymore or not. $135/month
Phone bill: Literally just got a phone plan on Sprint with her on Super Bowl Sunday. Don't think it's a two year contract but could be wrong. Is there anyway to split the plan? $135/month
I don't want to pay for anything of hers. I only have a part time job working 20 hours a week at $9 an hour. i'm going to college in the Fall and every single penny is helpful.
Any information at all is helpful, I do not know much about how to deal with this since i am so young and this has never happened to me before.
