I'm not really sure how I let things get this bad, but as of 3 weeks ago, I had 3 credit cards with significant balances:
$18,000 - 19.99%
$26,500 - 11.95%
$12,900 - 0.00%
After years of excuses and escalating debt, I finally took the plunge and knocked off the high interest card, and put another $10,000 against the next card down the list.
With a modicum of discipline, I should have things paid off in 6 months or less. Looking back, it is absolutely staggering how much money I have squandered on absolute bullshit. It is abundantly clear that I have been living beyond my means for quite some time.
Not really in need of advice, but just happy with the milestone and thankful of all the posts on this subreddit which have motivated me to regain control of my financial situation. I have a long way to go, but I'm finally moving in the right direction.
