I don't know where to reach or what to do, please bear with me. I just graduated college and for the past few months have been doing research with a great professor. Everything was going great until I just developed carpal tunnel syndrome, along with some other pains and problems that have showed up.

I can hardly use my hands and they are in constant pain. I can't do any hobbies I used to enjoy and it's interfering with work too. I've been so debilitated and depressed I haven't even bothered looking for a real fulltime job, I have my resume pretty much ready though. I don't think I will be physicaly able to do a full time job with my current situation. I've been seeing doctors and I'm most concerned if I get surgery, if my hands don't get significantly better my life is done.

Anyway, I live with my parents right now and fortunately we are well off. I recently got put on my own health care plan, I live in California and am on Medi-Cal. It's basically super low tier medical care, the doctors I've seen, some are alright some are useless (I suppose that's always the case though). So for now my financial situation is okay because of my parents, I make very little a month but it's something. Should I try to get a job? Will I be able to get better medical care (and hopefully a real good surgeon since I think it will come to surgery)? Thank you.
