Hello r/diy!I need some guidance on the best way to mold and cast a replacement part for one of my vintage automatic watches. It's a metal movement holder that goes around the timepiece inside the watch case to fill empty space prevent it from sliding back and forth. I would just buy one but the watch is from 1973 and it's out of production, and eBay wants more than I'm willing to cough up. Here a few pictures of it. http://ift.tt/2DdRB81 The measurements are 1.5 inches in circumference, 3mm tall and 1mm wide. I've attempted creating a 2 part mold using plaster of Paris but i couldn't get a clean molding of it. How would you guys recommend me going about it?
