So I am preparing to convince my brother to start investing into his retirement (Roth IRA). I'm most likely going to just suggest a Vanguard Target Date fund but when I present him my argument, I want to give him a estimate of how much he'll have during retirement.
I'm thinking of starting off with using a calculator to estimate the balance he'll have by maxing out a Roth IRA every year starting this year, and a rate of return of about 6%.
Does anyone know of a good calculator to estimate how many months or years the retirement fund will last and what a Target Date Fund's rate of return is when it hits the target? If I read correct, Vanguard's Target Date 2015 (VTWNX) is still earning about 7%?
I used This Calculator and This Calculator but just looking for more sources or suggestions.
