Our grandmother passed away and left 5 acres of land in Wisconsin, to her trust. The land is worth about $1,000. All of us in the trust really do not want the land as we live in another state. There is no housing on the land and the land is considered wet lands so nothing could be built on it anyways. If we were to purchase it ourselves or sell it, it would cost about $4,000-$5,000 just in the legal fees. Property taxes are at $25 for the year. What options do we have to get rid of the property so we can complete everything in her trust as we only have this and 1 other thing to deal with.
