Renovating a new-to-me house. Getting carpet installed upstairs and on the stairs. The stair treads are in rough shape, most are cracked and broken. They are 3/4" pine. I'm going to install all new ones.I'm wondering if I should cut treads from 3/4" plywood or osb, or if Theres a better option. I see a brand called SturdiStep but haven't found them locally. They are 1" thick which makes me think 3/4 is not the right choice.Unfortunate all my google searches, despite numerous operators only seem to turn up pages about switching carpeted steps to finished wood. Also, should I glue them with liquid nails for subfloors before I screw them? via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2tTpfsk
