I am seeking to make a bed frame that is as free floating as possible for storage underneath it. The bed frame will be a platform with a few inches on all sides for a step up. The frame will accommodating a queen size mattress. It will not be bolted to the wall. I was thinking of using metal shelving units, like the you can buy at youe hardwear store.
