Hello, recently i began looking into hard wiring my home as my family and i have way too many devices on wireless(3 phones, 2 computers, 4 game consoles, parts of the security system, etc) and i'd like to lessen the strain on it. after doing some research over the past couple weeks and examining my home in depth i concluded the only way to run cabling would be through the crawlspace as i don't have an attic and i'm not going for only exterior walls. one of the main problems/confusions i have run into is figuring out what type of cable to use, specifically what type of rating as i know i am going to go overkill and get cat 6 but i don't know if i just need standard jacket, riser rated or direct burial rated ethernet cable. i tried looking through my local building ordinances in north plains oregon but i really didn't know where to look and just got more confused in the process and so i figured i would turn to to great people on this forum to see if anyone knows what i need to use as previous posts here have answered many of my questions so far.bonus question, i already have an idea of what to do here but does anyone have any extra tips for running the cable up in an insulated exterior wall from the crawlspace?some extra info about the building and project. it is a single story manufactured home with no garage, the crawlspace is easily accessible from the outside but not in. the interior walls are all sheetrock. I am planning on running 3 rooms with 3 cables in 2 of the rooms and 2 in the last and moving the coaxial cables which are sticking out of the floor to behind the wall as well. the cables are all going to run back to a keystone patch panel and switch where the modem and wireless router will be(either in the kitchen or in a closet as it's a small home). i've got some of the supplies already such as the keystones themselves and wall plates w/ old work boxes. the only thing i'm concerned about is the cable. thank you for your time and help.edit: forgot to put details about crawlspace in case that matters, it is about 2.5-3 ft high and i think has a bare dirt floor(haven't looked in awhile but not sure it matters), it isn't completely open to the elements but isn't fully sealed either so it gets damp in there during any season but summer(rains alot here) via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2ubkYDk
