Hello All,
I am probably the least frugal person in the world just because I don't know how to be. I've just done a budget for the 30th time in the last 2 years and I realized just how bad I need to be frugal! We have been spending like crazy!! When I have tried to be frugal in the past I just end up being "cheap". For example buying $5 sandals and they end up breaking in a few months!
Anyway I'm trying to find fun things for my family of 3 (me, my husband and my four year old son) to do this summer and on the weekends. I have been considering purchasing six flags season passes for sometime now but they are more than I'd like to spend. It looks like it will cost about $78-88/pp that includes one pass with a parking pass. I plan on packing lunches when we do visit and spending a majority of the time at the water park when we do go. Several of our family member have passes as well.
I've allotted $100 a month for entertainment cause were really trying to work on paying down debts and increase our savings. I'm just not sure if it makes sense to spend almost $244 for the passes for a place you may spend a lot of time waiting in line.
Also any suggestions for low cost kid friendly entertainment that would be great. We are used to being busy but that has cost us a lot in the long run!
