A new option rolled out a few weeks ago to all of Wells Fargo's ATM network..note this is only available to WF customers...if that wasn't clear......if you have no idea what i'm talking about you can read a full write up on it here
Essentially you don't use your debit card when depositing money at the ATM or getting cash....or....doing anything else... You login to the Wells Fargo App, request a unique 8 digit code, that expires in 30 mins, input this into the ATM, then put in your pin as if you just put your debit card in.
I feel this is better to protect your card from skimming devices, but at the same time it can take more time to process versus the usual card method. Generally though if I know I need to stop by the wells fargo, i'll grab the code somewhere along the way so I can just input it upon pulling up.
Has anyone else used it? What are your thoughts?
