My boss is offering to reimburse my tuition fees since my education is an asset to his company, but he just wants me to invoice him. This seems like the wrong way to do it. Is it really a good idea?

I am in BC, Canada.

I don't want to have to pay additional taxes or fees. A tuition reimbursement shouldn't be treated like regular income, right? Any insight would be much appreciated!
