Hi all! I’ve done a ton of reading online trying to decide what to do. I’d really appreciate some insight from you all.I’m building a 230ft long 6ft tall wooden privacy fence. I will be using two 2x6 for the rails and 1x6 pickets placed vertically. The ground where I live is very rocky, so my neighbor came over and dig some holes using his backhoe. I was told the bucket would be smaller, but here we are.Since our holes are so big, what’s the best way to do the fence posts?Use the dirt that came out, to refill the hole and pack it tight?Use gravel/ crushed rock etc to refill?Use sono tubes and cement?- am I able to place a sono tube in the hole and backfill/compact the dirt without collapsing the tube?I plan to use treated 4x4 posts and potentially 6x6 posts for the fence corners and around gate.Would really appreciate all thoughts/ input. Thank you!http://bit.ly/2JBZCan via /r/DIY http://bit.ly/2X4o5bn
