The main issue I'm running into with re-mounting my cabinet is the stud in my wall. I've asked a carpenter family friend about it (he lives 3 hours away so he can't look at it) and he said it sounds very strange, but there seems to only be a partial stud in my wall. The stud is about a 6 inch tall 2x4 right where it's needed to be, but it doesn't leave me with a whole lot of room to re-mount my cabinet with. It's in a corner, but my cabinet's nailing cleat isn't in good shape either. I'm thinking i'll have to replace the cleat and try again, but if anyone has information on my partial stud or if anyone has any basic advise for me.
