I'm fairly certain this will be rather tedious to most of you so I apologize for such a basic question, this is my first time doing this. replacing a jack, not soldering. So i have a pair of old bose earphones that had a loose connection, I cut off the original jack and as far as some basic googling revealed there are supposed to be 3 wires, red (which is connects to the right lower tab on the new jack), green/blue (which connects the lower left tab) and black (or copper sleeved in my case, I presume, which connects to the central connection point), if your looking at it with the higher/central tabs facing up at you. The thing is, there are three of each wire and a surprising 3 bits of white wire which i suspect might be thread filling?I just wanted to confirm these details before i get started, figured it would be ok to ask here.Pictures:http://ift.tt/2C4xAQT via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2BBVl1w
