I live 30 minutes away from one of the colleges I plan on attending. Tuition is $6,000 and is going to be 75%-100% paid for by the state. The most expensive part of college for me is going to be room and board, meals, books, and etc. (around 15k without grants and scholarships) if I go to this college I could probably do it from home saving money. But i don’t want to be 21 living with my parents. I plan to get a degree in Aerospace Engineering which pays $70K starting. So would it be worth it to live from home to save for room and board?
