Hello I'll try & keep it short. I applied to a job that was limited term (as a contractor) & therefore no benefits. In the hopes of getting my foot in the door within the field.The pay is okay and everyone I work with is awesome. Before I applied, I also put in applications in other jobs in that field (got turned down for like 5)
I was called today from another job, they told me contingent upon me passing a routine drug test they'd be expecting me to start next month.
I thouroughly enjoy my duties and working with my current team. I've gathered really good karma with all my bosses & co-workers.
The other job offers benefits and a slight bump in pay.
I am hoping to stay part time since the only other person that is trained to do my job is my boss. They are bringing on 2 more people, & it has been mentioned new contracts are being sent over to make the team official employees (still don't know much about it).
I feel bad because we are pretty understaffed & I've only been there for 2 months. I also mentioned to my boss in the interview I was hoping to be there a year ( I was honestly not expecting to get the other job as I didn't feel qualified, but I went for it anyway).
Anyone with advice on how I'd go about this without burning bridges?
