What do you consider an appropriate timeframe between asking for a raise? I've been at my first and current job of a technologist for just a few days shy of a year. Got a small raise 3 months in after the trial period ended. Asked for one maybe 3 months back, but was declined. Being an introvert means going up to my boss to ask for a bigger wage is a terrifying notion, but my current salary is just enough to get by if I'm stingy and I have to bite into my meager savings for things like new shoes. Eventually my savings will dry up. And obviously no one is going to come up to me and offer a raise, despite how much I would appreciate something like that. Any general tips?
