I want to get a sheet to glass to cover my coffee table to make it spill proof & super easy to clean, but I'm wondering if there's any better-looking alternatives to plain old glass, with similar durability and impermeably. For example, can you get get windowpane-thickness sheets of granite or one of the faux-granite materials, and would one of these survive just sitting atop a high-use table? I'm assuming countertop-thickness material is going to be way too heavy to work with and too thick to "look" right resting on top of a table.I'd be open to any other ideas. Thanks in advance. via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2wKe36n
