Hey, r/Frugal. This is my first time posting here. I'm a college student, paying my wah through 3 years of college, graduating a year early thanks to AP credits, but mostly because I can't afford a 4th year. So needless to say, money is a little tight.

I've been saving up cash for a while now, whenever I get a $20 (usually from older family members), I put it away, and I've saved asround $500 this way in addition to my bank account.

I really want a Switch. So badly. Legend of Zelda was my childhood. And there's a switch with 3 games, including the new LoZ which is around a $480 value, for $300 on Craigslist.

How do you frugal masters handle purchases like this, and make decisions based off desire, rather than necessity?
