My wife and I have NAFTA visas, I have an SSN but she only has an ITIN. I've added her as an additional cardholder to some of my credit cards, without using her ITIN. I read in another post about someone not being able to do that.

Now, we're looking for a savings/checking account for her, which banks accept to open accounts with an ITIN? We want something that won't charge fees if possible. She doesn't work, I'll probably set up an automatic transfer for her.

We went to Chase last night, and she would be able to open a savings accounts, and she has 300+ there she won't get charges, but the account is kinda limited, she would only be able to withdraw from ATM's 6 times a month and no purchases in stores or anything. A checking account would be more convenient but they ask a for you to not get fees.

What would you suggest? Thanks!
