How do you deal with produce that doesn't grow where you live? For instance, I live in central Arizona. Its too arid here for bananas and pineapples and too hot for rhubarb and blueberries.
The way I see it, there are three options for non-local foods. 1) Buy it whenever you want because you can't eat it locally, so seasonality is less relevant. 2) Buy it when it is in season in the area it grows. 3) Just don't buy foods you can't eat locally.
I'm curious to know how you all handle this.
