Hey guys. I graduated with a degree in biochemistry in 2012. As a fresh graduate, it was hard to find a job related to my field and I ended up sticking to an unrelated job for 5 years. I knew there was no growth in this job but it paid the bills and I made the mistake of getting too comfortable with it.
Now I'm trying to get back into the science field, but I think my resume keeps getting looked over because of the lack of related experience. I use a functional resume but I don't know if that is helping.
I'm in a financial rut because I have 60k of debt to pay towards a degree that is starting to seem useless to me. Is there any hope for me to get back into my field? If not what options do I have?
