I'm sorry if I missed something in the wiki, but I'm looking for a way, preferably a book I can read or a series of YouTube videos or something, where I can learn how to invest. To say I have no knowledge of investing terms is an understatement. I have a 401(k) that I have 6% income invested in because my company matches half up to 3% total, but beyond that, I'm clueless. I see terms like ETF and mutual fund and stuff all the time and have no idea what they mean. I have been pointed to Investopedia before, but that led to the typical "I don't understand this term, better go read the page that defines it which contains another term I don't understand" loop. I'm looking for the very very basics, dumbed down ELI5 style, on how to understand investing and learn to do it safely and smartly if I can. Is there something out there or do I just keep reading investopedia until it starts making sense?
