For those unfamiliar with soylent it's basically a meal replacement drink. It has all the protein, fat, vitamins and minerals your body needs and gives it to you in a drinkable form that is much cheaper than dining out and quick to consume.

I don't think I would want to replace all my food with soylent but I like the idea of a perfectly healthy "meal" that costs $1-$2, which I can eat in a few minutes while I sit at my desk. I figure I could easily save $100/month doing this vs. getting a sandwich or something for lunch. I do bring a lunch sometimes but this is extra time and effort over a drinkable meal, and probably costs more as well.

Recently I found a website, complete foods, which has dozens of recipes for homemade soylent. Some of them are quite popular and have gotten high marks on flavor and texture. Does anyone have any experience with these kinds of drinkable meals? It seems like there is a whole subculture of people experimenting with this. I would welcome any feedback before taking the plunge. A lot of the ingredients I would buy in bulk so my initial buy-in would probably be $150 or more, but that would get me over a hundred servings.
