So I have issues finding an apartment and end up staying in a hotel for a month. The apartment I'm planning to rent isn't available until October 1. Obviously staying in a hotel is expensive and I'm feeling the effects immediately.
Now after crunching some numbers, I'm wondering how to stretch my food cost to $30 CAD per month. Hopefully I will only need to use this method until I get a job but for now I'm trying to be very careful with the moolah. An idea of the store prices, should it be helpful, I'm currently staying London, Ontario. Any recipes will be most helpful since I'm exactly great at planning a meal.
Why hotel? Well, my family were paying for it and they rather I be staying in a known hotel than share with a stranger for a month. Plus, there wasn't much available and the ones close by were either $$$ more than the hotel or sharing with the homeowner with bad review. I can stand to be hungry for several hours but not be creeped out by possible whackadoo sitting across from me.
