I was gifted 500K in NVIDIA stock-I need advice on what to do with it.
is it possible to make myself financially free starting with this much? what is the financially smartest thing to do?
any ideas what i can do if i do take some of the money out to make some passive income? or just something? i'm working a serving job but it barely pays my rent because i live in the bay area and cost of living is ridiculous. any ideas/advice would be so appreciated!
i know the ideal answer is DON'T TOUCH IT ALL but i've been laid off for 11 months. i normally work in biotech. I ended up getting gifted this stock (never saw this coming) ...but I'm honestly paranoid as fuck to use it/touch it from my PTSD of being laid off for so long and biotech/life sciences taking such a big hit.
I live in a super expensive state and have maybe 3 more months of savings left. I'm trying to land a new job in my field but if I don't land something in 3 months i'm not sure what to do anymore.
I'm 30 years old and have honestly had a super rough year, I don't even feel excitement at the moment because i'm currently withdrawing off of SSRIS (antidepressants) cold turkey. which i've been on for the past 6 years so going through some withdrawal hell .....
i've struggled with clinical depression and anxiety my whole life from very traumatic life events that the average person couldn't stomach. i struggle to trust myself these days and would really appreciate any financial advice! thank you so much.
