Hi, I am fairly new to join credit union. When I tried to create a checking account at Connexus Credit Union ( if specific name is forbidden to mention, please let me know!), I got a "encrypted" email notifying me I need to provide copy of my SSN ( I already provide copy picture of DL during application).
The sender seems legit, from person_name@ConnexusCU.org , but I am not sure if there is phishing there. From previous experience with Bank, I only need to provide my SSN number, that's all, no copy of SSN card or DL at all.
Anyone shares some insights here? Is it a rule for credit union or a scam? Thank you Gurus! Have a nice day!
