Job 1: $85k + 20% bonus
Big, stable company, but in fading industry. Quite interesting job with some development perspectives. Good position in the company, definitely safe for at least few years there. Good pension and insurance.
Job 2: $125k + stock options
Startup in growing industry, with some good funding for at least two years, maybe more. Different expertise area than current job, but with some parallels. A bit worse pension (5% less) and similar insurance.
In a long run I would like to go to another industry, but not necessarily interested in changing expertise area (but why not on a other hand..). I'm a bit unsure how stable a startup will be - in the end most of them fail, but the financing seems solid.
What are your thoughts on that?
