First court date on Wednesday, October 13th at 9am (9 hours from now). At this pre-trial hearing is there anything I can say or do to get out of this? Can they prove that the debt is actually mine since they are a collection agency and not the original creditor? Any help and/or advice is greatly appreciated. Please and thank you...
On a personal note, I live in Florida and I haven't been working in over 6 months and only part-time before that. I have several health problems and I'm seeing several different doctors. My unemployment ended on September 6th, I'm not currently working. I don't have any assets and I have less than $100 in my checking account. I do not have a lawyer and obviously couldn't afford one.
