I’ve had 3 interviews/discussions with a new startup recently. They scheduled 3 more for this week. I’m wondering if I should be having a salary range conversation before it goes any further. I am not planning to leave my current for less than a 20-25% total compensation increase. My current position is solid and I don’t hate it. I am excited for change and want to do exactly what this new position offers but we haven’t gotten far into anything. No offer and no salary discussion but 3 hours of interviewing seems to be substantial.
Would you leave for less? Would you have a salary discussion before moving forward?
