I pay my bills on time and understand when I need something such as the bike helmet and lights I just bought however I'm in a gray area with shoes. I walk about an hour to and from work each day & have two pairs of work appropriate shoes that both need to be replaced? One is a pair of leather booties with wood heels. I've had them for two years and the heels are worn. I want to replace them but they still function. Should I just go to a cobler or am I justified in buying a new pair that would probably cost the same as repair?
