I’m 20 and live with both my parents. I wanted to study medicine (no student debt in my country) but I couldn’t get into medical university this year so I’m starting a job to save up money so I can try next year. The problem is that my father was abusive to my mother and me in the past and he is mildly becoming abusive again and my mother wants to move out. The other problem is that she accumulated credit card debt through the years (around 11000 usd) and the only way I could help her without my father knowing is to take debt myself so we can pay off all these credit card debts. But if I do this I don’t know when or if I could be able to save up money for university. I was thinking of going into computer science because the study is shorter and well paid but again I can’t go in without money and I haven’t prepared for the math exams. I was thinking of moving out but I feel sorry for my mother because of my father. My job will make around 450-550 usd. I simply don’t know what to do anymore.
