This only applies If you have a laser printer with cheap toner refills (or learn to refill them yourself for more savings!)
The post linked at the bottom is archived but I was dealing with the same problem. Quality notepad paper is expensive.
Why do you need quality paper?
Because if you use a decent pen like the Pilot G2, it will bleed through typical notebook paper, then you can’t use both sides.
You’ll need ~20lb paper to prevent bleed though. 20lb is Standard for printer paper, but deluxe for notepads.
