i can call and as around for quotes and info but since i've learned so much in general from y'all, i thought i'd ask here first in case you have experience with this.

i know i can also contact amazon digital support but i want to ask people who are actual users first to make sure i'm getting the truth and find out if things work the way they're supposed to.

i read about 3 books a week and want to buy a mini ipad so i can read on the subway and on train rides way more comfortably (a few times a year, i will be taking it on 8 hour + amtrak train trips as i have a partner who won't fly yet.)

--general question - forget about wifi/cell for now - let's say you are connected - when you highlight on one device, do your kindle highlights synch across all devices?

--if i just got wifi and not cell for mini ipad: when i temporarily am not connected to wifi, like when i'm on the subway, if the book is already downloaded on my kindle app, will my highlights eventually synch to all my devices once i get back to somewhere that has wifi service? or will highlighting not even work at all if i temporarily dont have a wifi connection?

--if i do need cell service for it, who should i go with? is there a service where i could say "i just want cell service for these next 2 days while i'm traveling?"

right now for my phone, i have tmobile and i pay about $32 a month bc i was grandfathered in to a family plan. any thoughts? thank you in advance.
