What advice do you have for us, as first time home-owners?
My partner and I closed on our first home today. We are stuck in our lease until 6/30, so we will slowly be moving our things over to the new place, and preparing it for living the *good life*
We plan to paint some basement walls, secure some loose outlets. We are looking at pricing for a duct cleaning/HVAC inspection. We also are going to enroll in a Maintenance plan for Furnace/AC tune ups, and things like that.
Gas Range, Fridge, Microwave, Washer and Dryer are included in the home.
What are some things that we should definitely consider spending on now to avoid catastrophe later, or opt out of? What are things you wish you had known early on?
