I’m currently working for a small, family owned company with less than a 100 employees. I’m currently their marketing coordinator. However, I just see no upward mobility at this company and I’m super unhappy. I’m making $50k a year.
I’ve recently been interviewing for another position at an ad agency. I believe this is something i’d be more passionate about and the upward mobility is WAY better at this company. Problem is I’d be starting back at an entry level role and would be getting paid only $40k a year. I’m still living at home so rent and expenses wouldn’t be an issue, but is it worth it? Would it look bad on future job applications? What would you do if you were me?
