My account was hacked on 12/2020
My account was hacked on 12/2020. The person named “Gary Cummings” ordered a pair of Apple headphone and shipped to Georgia(I’m located in MA) for store pick up. I was able to cancel it on time before it charges my Bestbuy credit card as I received a order confirmation to my email.
The hacker was able to change the phone number on my account and turned on 2 steps verification. So I was locked out and wasn’t able to change the password.
Bestbuy customer service was able to remove the hacker’s phone number and set me a new account.
This has never happened to me before. Can someone tell me how they were able to change my phone#
