I own my own home mortgage free. It's 3 bedroom. 115sqm. I have 2 roommates.
I've seen a house down the road for sale. It's 50sqm. It's one bedroom with a sleepout. It's a cottage, it has a fireplace and a balcony and it faces the sun. It has a peak of a seaview. It has a garage.
I'm a 30 year old pretty much single woman. I'm not planning on kids or pets.
Honestly living with strangers in my space is getting more and more tiresome. The extra money is great but I'm getting to the point where I don't want these people in my space. One of my biggest stresses is I am a minimalist and my roommates bring a lot of stuff into the house. One new one has just filled up the freezer with food even though she told me before she moved in that she doesn't cook much and won't be in the kitchen often. She asked if she could bring a chest freezer.. I said no. The other has his clothes on the airer in the lounge for 5 days now. He also takes my things without asking.
At the same time I hate change lol and I'd have to deal with lawyers and real estate agents and whatever repairs may be needed on the cottage. Then deal with renting out my old house. But damn the peace and quiet of coming home to my own tidy space... Anyone have thoughts?
