Hi guys,
So I know 2020 has been a roller coaster for most people (hope everyone is hanging in there) and I honestly can’t tell if this year has made me lazy. I lost my job in July and I’ve honestly been enjoying unemployment. Being fired sucked and kinda hurt my self-esteem but it did wonders for my mental health. I don’t have to answer to anyone or be micro-managed. And there’s no pressure to compete with my coworkers for billable hours. I don’t feel the need to rush to get another full-time, corporate job. Is this bad? I worked so hard for my degree but I was miserable in the office and missed waiting tables, even though you get no benefits as a server. Has anyone experienced something like this with COVID-19? I can’t tell if I just need to pull myself up by the boot straps or not after killing myself for a degree. Any advice helps and sorry for the long rant, I couldn’t really find anything like this on reddit.
