Looking to turn one single pole switch into 2 three way switches. I have a switch in my kitchen to my basement lights which is ungrounded and single pole. Red, black, white wires. I'd like to run a 14-3 Romex line to the basement to add another switch downstairs and change the now 2 switches to three ways. The wiring diagram shows how I intend on wiring it, using the white and red line as travelers in the Romex and capping the source neutral line. The right switch would be the new basement switch.
